Patient Testimonals

I had worn glasses for 49 years and contacts lenses for 43 years.  The last couple of years, I had a lot of problems with my contact lenses.  I could not see very well, my eyes hurt or burned most of the time, and I didn’t want to wear glasses. I had talked with a few people who had successful laser vision correction surgery and thought it would be worth it to investigate the possibility for me.

My ophthalmologist referred me to Dr. Milner, and he assured me that he was a very thorough and conservative surgeon. He said Dr. Milner would not perform the surgery if he didn't think it was in my best interest.

Due to the fact that I had thin corneas and a high prescription, Dr. Milner suggested that I have PRK surgery. The down time was longer but the end result was definitely worth the wait. My vision is now 20/15 which is better than 20/20!

I would strongly recommend anyone to have this procedure done with Dr. Milner. He is very thorough in his examinations before, during, and after the procedure.  He will not perform the surgery unless he feels it is safe and the outcome will be successful for the patient.  I also believe part of my success was due to the fact that I followed his post op directions EXACTLY as he said to do.

My life has changed dramatically since this procedure. My vision is now better than it ever was with glasses or contacts lenses.  My eyes don’t bother me anymore and it’s so nice to wake up in the morning and be able to see clearly without glasses or contacts. I wish I had done this years ago!” - Lynn L.

”I chose to get laser vision correction because I was tired of paying for contact lenses, which seemed to rip all the time, and I also prefer to not wear glasses.

I was referred to Dr. Milner by a fellow classmate who spoke very highly of him. Originally, I had an appointment with another place but I didn't feel comfortable following through with them. During my evaluation, Dr. Milner made me feel like he really cared and he took the time to answer all my questions.

I was told that I would be a good candidate for both LASIK and PRK. I chose LASIK because I'm not very active; whereas if I was active, I would have gone with PRK. Dr. Milner also recommended LASIK as the procedure that would be best for me.

Having LASIK surgery was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made! I highly recommend Dr. Milner for anyone who is considering getting laser vision correction because he will make you feel comfortable and he is very honest with the decision making process. Jen, Dr. Milner’s laser vision correction coordinator, was also great through everything and she was always there if I needed anything.

I went from being practically blind, -5.00 in one eye and -6.00 in the other, to now being proud to say I have "eagle vision" 20/15! My life is so much better now, I can wake up and see and I don't have to worry about contact lenses or glasses getting in the way. I can also wear eyeliner now; whereas before I couldn’t, because the eyeliner would get in my contacts and irritate my eyes.

During the surgery, Dr. Milner walked me through everything. The surgery was not only quick but I also didn't feel any pain. The most I felt was a little bit of pressure. After surgery, I listened to Dr. Milner's advice and I followed his rules which made my recovery go very smoothly. I was very excited to get the surgery and I would strongly advise anyone to see Dr. Milner!! Thank you so much Dr. Milner and staff!” – Devon K.

“I am a professional firefighter and I work 24 hour shifts. To do my job to the best of my ability, I had to wear my contacts at all times. Wearing my contacts for that amount of time caused irritation and I knew it couldn’t be the safest thing for my eyes; it was time for a change!

I chose Dr. Milner, not only because of his reputation as a surgeon, but also because he had already performed life changing surgery on one of my family members. He saved my grandfather’s vision so when I was considering which surgeon to choose, he was my first choice!

During my evaluation, Dr. Milner told me that I was a candidate for both LASIK and PRK. He suggested that I go with PRK due to my profession and because there was less risk. He told me that ‘once it was healed, it would be healed for good.’ I decided to go with PRK, even though the down time was longer, because I wouldn’t have to worry about a flap getting dislodged if my eyes were ever injured.

I would recommend Dr. Milner 110%! He was very thorough in his examination process, with explaining my procedure, and with educating me on my choices. He also made me feel very comfortable before, during, and after my procedure.

My Laser Vision Correction surgery has changed my life tremendously. Before my surgery, I had poor vision without my contacts and my eyes were always dry. Now while I’m at the firehouse, I don’t have to worry about my eyes becoming itchy, irritated, or red. I don’t have to search for eye drops or worry about taking out my contacts. Now I can see perfectly 20/20 vision. My only regret is that I didn’t have the surgery sooner!" Anthony G.
