Nataliya Pokeza, MD

Nataliya Pokeza, MD is a fellowship trained cornea specialist with experience in advanced corneal transplantation, management of dry eye syndrome and ocular surface disease. Dr. Pokeza specializes in performing state-of-the-art corneal surgeries, including full-thickness corneal transplantation, partial thickness endothelial keratoplasty (DSEK/DMEK) and DALK corneal transplants and laser refractive surgery. She has an interest in cataract surgery, especially in patients with corneal conditions. She is experienced in providing care to patients with keratoconus and performing novel cross-linking treatments. As a corneal specialist, Dr. Pokeza also treats corneal dystrophies, corneal infections, and other diseases of the cornea and external eye.

Dr. Pokeza graduated with honors from Baruch College in New York, New York earning an undergraduate degree in Biology. She then received her medical degree from State University of New York at Downstate College of Medicine. She completed her ophthalmology residency program at SUNY Downstate Medical Center, where she was elected as a chief resident in her final year. Dr. Pokeza then completed her Cornea and External Disease Fellowship at the renowned Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia, PA, where she served as a clinical instructor to ophthalmology residents and medical students. She is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, Cornea Society, and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery.

Dr. Pokeza is fluent in Ukrainian and Russian. She enjoys traveling, hiking, and spending time with family and friends.
