Beverly A. Reidy, OD

Beverly A. Reidy, OD is an optometrist who specializes in comprehensive eye care. She joined the Eye Center in 2000. Dr. Reidy takes pride in providing excellent and compassionate care to all her patients.

Dr. Reidy received her BS in biology from Stonehill College in North Easton, Massachusetts, where she graduated cum laude, before completing her OD degree from the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago, Illinois. Her internships were spent at the prestigious Great Lakes Naval Hospital and the Easter Seals Foundation where she provided care to children with disabilities, both in the greater Chicago area. In 1985, she was a member of the Illinois Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity team which provided eye care in Ecuador and from 1986-1992, she provided eye care at the Bridgeport Correctional Facility in Bridgeport, CT. She was an optometrist through Community Health Care Plan (CHCP) from 1987-1996 and then with CHCPhysicians from 1996-1999, both at the Long Wharf facility in New Haven, CT. She co-authored a scientific poster on diabetic eye care which was presented at the 1995 American Academy of Ophthalmology meeting.

Dr. Reidy enjoys giving back to her former high school, Roger Ludlowe, (now called Fairfield Ludlowe H.S.), by participating in their internship program mentoring high school seniors interested in the fields of science and health care.  As an active member of the Fairfield Kiwanis Club, she volunteers on the high school scholarship committee, the annual craft fair, and serves on the Board of Directors. Dr. Reidy has been a proud member of the Fairfield Gaelic American Club for over 20 years. She enjoys reading, movies and theater, especially Broadway, and loves spending time at the beach. She currently resides in Fairfield, CT with her two daughters.
