Peter A. Marks, M.D. FACS

Peter A. Marks, MD is an ophthalmologist specializing in small incision cataract surgery as well as comprehensive eye care. He also treats diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, and ocular service disease. Dr. Marks joined the Eye Center in 2001, after being a physician in the US Navy, and has been practicing ophthalmology for over twenty years.

Dr. Marks has a BA in History from University of Massachusetts and earned his Medical Degree at the University Of Minnesota. A Navy veteran, Dr. Marks completed his ophthalmology residency at Bethesda Naval Hospital in Maryland and served as the Squadron Medical Officer for the US submarine service in Groton, CT. He also trained at the National Eye Institute Uveitis Clinic, and the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology.

Dr. Marks has participated in international ophthalmology missions and plans to continue to do so in the future. When he is not caring for his patients, Dr. Marks enjoys tennis, skiing, and reading. He currently resides in Guilford, CT with his wife and two children.
